For my little one!!!

Hello everyone!!!. I made this simple invitation card for my little son. He is turning seven at the end of August but since the classes end in a couple of weeks and it is so hard to get together with friends in the summer, I decided to celebrate it before school is done. The idea was all of a sudden so I didn't have much time to prepare a super card. Well... I searched the Splitcoasstamper website and under birthdays I found a card that it was perfect for him since he LOVES "The cat in the Hat" books.

Here is the card I saw: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1888828?&perpage=96&thumbsonly=0&si=birthday%20invitations

Crafty Gals June Challenge!!!

Hello everyone!!! Another month is starting and the Crafty Gals have another wonderful challenge to share. This time was our Barb's turn to challenge us like this:

Vacation!
Many of us will be taking a summer trip someplace, if even just for a weekend. So, your challenge is to create a card that shouts summer fun! Maybe a camping trip in the forest--or a trip to the ocean for a lighthouse tour or time on the beach--or a flight to another country to see the sights--or road trip to see local attractions--or biking along the rails to trails--or ....................... you get the idea. Shows us image that highlights a summer experience you have had or are planning to do in the future. Please include some patterned paper on your card--along with an additional embellishment or two........ If you want to share on your blog post a fun experience you have had on a vacation, that would be great! We all love to hear about trips--just not all of the hundreds of slides or photos.

I grew up in South America, Argentina and every summer there, we used to go for our summer holidays to our house in the beach. Those were my happiest moments growing up. I love that place. My dog even has that town's name in honour of those beautiful moments..."Gesell". We used to go every single morning walking, carrying our umbrellas to the beach, my mom, my brother and myself. My dad used to work on ships, travelling the world so he didn't want to see the sea at all on his holidays!!!. I can't remember being with him on the beach, but he would wait for us with lunch ready and the house neat ready to be cover in sand again. I would cherish those moments forever!!!. When I saw this stamps from Hambo I couldn't help having such a cool and nice feeling!!! Thanks Barb for this challenge... I LOVE IT!!!

Here is a picture of "Gesell" when I was a little girl with my brother and one with my family back when we went down south to visit:

For my card I used:

Cardstock: Whisper White and Sahara Sand from SU
Designer Paper: An old one from a stack from SU
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Wonkey Scallop die from MFT, button from WalMart and my list of Copic Markers (I saw that some ladies post a picture of the Copics they use so I don't know if it helps, for that reason I decided to take a picture instead of listing them) :

CAS???

Hello everyone!!!. Ok... let me tell you all about this card... I usually make cards very busy. I love Designer papers, embellishments, flowers, colour, EVERYTHING on a card. This time I wanted to play with the CAS challenges at Splitcoasstampers. I'm definitely NOT a CAS type of crafter. At this point if you don't have a clue what CAS means, it means Clean and Simple. So... I tried. I'm still not very happy with the final result... it feels TOTALLY empty, and about the letters, well... the challenge was to use letters... I know... not sure about that either, but Oh WELL... I made one Clean and Simple card. I hope I met the requirements though ;). I thought it would be fun to post it anyways!!!.

For this card I used:

Cardstock: Bashful Blue and Whisper White from SU
Stamps: Beach Brellas and Sun from Hambo Stamps
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Letters from MFT Paper piercing tool from SU and Copic markers.

I'm so behind still, but doesn't matter I made another step forward. Here is my page, now I have to tell you, this little boy is now almost 15, so that's how behind I am...LOL!!!

For this page I used:
